Overview

DesignPettai is involved in shaping the product features of AquaFarmer, focusing on designing an intuitive and feature-rich user experience. We work closely with the development team to rapidly build and iterate on the MVP, ensuring that farmers have access to essential tools such as pricing insights, advisory support, weather updates, and product information.

To efficiently develop a farmer-centric application, the strategy began with a responsive web MVP to validate assumptions and refine the user experience. This approach enabled rapid development and iteration while ensuring farmers could access essential tools like farm profile setup, pond monitoring, weather insights, and advisory support without installation barriers.

A pilot phase with a small farmer group provided real-world insights, guiding quick iterations based on engagement, usability issues, and feature requests. Key improvements included offline access, multilingual support, and simplified inputs, ensuring the app addressed actual farmer needs.

With validated requirements, the team scaled to a native Android app, incorporating push notifications and offline functionality for a richer experience. This structured approach minimized risks, improved adoption, and ensured the final product was refined, scalable, and ready for wider rollout.
