The Driver app was native Android designed for quick Onboarding for native language users in Hyderabad. The unique flows included multi-mobility metro booking and a new interface for ride acceptance that minimised accidental acceptance leading to cancellations later. The app was built with Drivers giving feedback even during the early design stage.

Yaary’s primary goal is to enable technology for small fleet owners, auto associations, and electric vehicle providers, facilitating their integration into the broader mobility network.

Challenge: Balancing Familiarity and Uniqueness
Building a driver experience that felt familiar while maintaining a distinct brand voice was a key challenge. The goal was to retain established industry patterns while introducing unique elements that improved usability and driver control.

Multi-Lingual Support & Micro-Interactions: Ensuring smooth onboarding through localized language options and subtle UI cues that guided drivers through the app.
Intentional Friction for Awareness: Since drivers often juggle 3-4 apps simultaneously, we introduced deliberate friction in key areas to ensure they were fully aware of their actions, preventing accidental missteps.
Cancellation Experience Optimization: Designing a cancellation flow that balanced fairness for both drivers and riders while maintaining transparency.
On-Ground Insights & Continuous Iteration
The team spent significant time on the ground with drivers, observing their behaviors and gathering real-time feedback.
Iterations were made continuously based on immediate feedback loops, refining the experience to better suit driver needs.
